Inclement Weather Policy
The Halifax Skating Club considers the safety of our members, coaches and staff to be our top priority. In the event of inclement weather, or other hazards, the following guidelines will be followed:

Decision: Any decision to cancel any Halifax Skating Club skating session due to weather or other hazardous conditions will be made at a minimum of 2 hours prior to scheduled sessions.

Notification: Members will be notified via email and social media platforms. In order to ensure you receive cancellation notifications members must opt in for all email notifications from the Halifax Skating Club. Within your uplifter account validate your communication preferences and select yes next to Parent/Guardian Information Messages.

Rescheduling/Refunds: Should session(s) be canceled there will be no make-up session(s) or refunds.

Safety First: Should sessions continue as scheduled, members are encouraged to use their best judgement when traveling to and from the rink during inclement weather or other hazardous conditions. If road conditions are unsafe, members should prioritize their safety and stay home.
Please note that this policy is subject to change based on the severity of the weather/hazardous conditions and the recommendations of local authorities.
